Location: Tampa, FL
Job Summary:
Position is responsible for service and retention of an existing book of business
for dentists. Products include Professional Liability, Property, Workers Compensation, Flood and Wind coveage.
Opportunity for account round-out sales to established customer base.
Initiate contact with or respond to inquiries from prospects and communicate through the point of sale to provide insurance information. Identify exposures and determine proper coverage. Obtain client data and underwriting information and assess eligibility for programs. Work with insurance companies to underwrite, price and secure coverage. Complete applications and submit forms necessary to secure policies. Deliver policies and endorsements to customers. Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits and cancellations in accordance with office procedure. Prepare insurance summaries and proposals. Review commercial applications, renewal requests and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the various companies. Record and report loss notices to carrier. Communicate with existing clients to obtain renewal
information and create new sales opportunities by upgrading contracts or cross-selling other coverage.

Required Competencies:
Competencies Required Requires knowledge of insurers underwriting guidelines, rates and contracts
Requires knowledge of sales and marketing, insurance contracts, coverage, practices and principles.
High School diploma or equivalent
Four years of practical experience working with an insurer or general agent selling commercial lines
2-20 license required or the ability to secure a 4-40 license within the first 90 days.
Salary Range: Negotiable, Salary plus commission
